I have a B.A. in psychology from the University of North Texas, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA in 2012. During college, I was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. In addition to my love of psychology, I am a prolific writer, and I can tutor students in English, writing, and literature. My writing awards include winning the Denton Dickens Fellowship essay contest, winning first place in my section in the April Perennial short story contest, and being named a finalist in the Red Steagall Cowboy Poetry Contest. I was also valedictorian of my high school class.
Experience
Through tutoring, I hope to help students finesse their academic skills and help them reach their specific academic goals. I think the most important qualities in a tutor are knowledge of the subject, patience, and kindness. Tutoring should be a positive experience for students.
