Experience

I received an associate degree from Austin Community College in Science, and I am presently studying Biochemistry at the University of North Texas. I've always had a knack for teaching, and I have tutored friends and colleagues informally before pursuing tutoring professionally. I've been working as a tutor for two years, and I've enjoyed the experience immensely. It's acted as a learning experience for me, as well, and it has helped me to improve upon my own abilities. I've developed patience and a sense of innovation when it comes to planning lessons. Teaching, for me, is a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I love to help students reach deeper levels of clarity. It's really important to maintain composure and flexibility when tutoring. I don't always limit myself to helping students on classwork, and I have also helped my students with songwriting and exam preparation. My areas of expertise are Calculus, Algebra, Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Literature, Reading, and Writing, among others. It's important to address and relieve student anxieties in order to build confidence and success. Outside of academics, I enjoy swimming, singing, playing piano, reading, camping, fishing, and conducting science experiments.
