I am a student at North Texas University. My area of study is psychology. As I have made my way through the academic world, I have found that I am best at English and psychology. For this reason, much of my tutoring experience has been in pushing my students to excel in English and psychology. From a young age, my parents taught me the importance of pushing oneself to achieve goals. My goal is to one day obtain my PhD. I am still in the early stages of my journey to graduate school, as I have successfully completed an associate's degree and am close to earning a bachelor's degree. My professors will note that I am a very dedicated student. I want to encourage the students that I tutor to set goals, make a clear path toward achieving those goals, and then work hard until they have what they want. I understand that everyone has a different way of grasping a concept. Therefore, I am patient with my students as we search for the best way for them to understand a certain subject. I have chosen to become a tutor because helping students grasp an idea is one of the greatest feelings in the world. Also, tutoring is a good fit for my personality because I am structured and organized.
