I am a friendly tutor who truly loves to teach. I'm available to tutor students in algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, elementary math, middle school math, geometry, trigonometry, astronomy, physics, American history, social studies, science, and other subjects. I received my degree in Mechanical and Energy Engineering at the University of North Texas. I'm currently working as a plastic engineer, and I've realized that I miss engaging with students. That is why I'm getting back into tutoring! I've previously tutored friends and colleagues of mine, and I've taught preschoolers. My favorite aspect of tutoring is witnessing that moment when a student grasps a difficult concept that they have been struggling with. I encourage my students to never quit and to keep persevering no matter how challenging a topic might seem. I am a very patient teacher and I will create a tutoring environment that students feel safe to express themselves in. I'm ready to share my fascination with astronomy, history, and math with any student who is willing to learn. When I'm not working or tutoring I enjoy sewing, reading good books, writing, and interacting with interesting people. I also love being active and spending time outdoors through activities like canoeing, dancing, and swimming.
