Education

I graduated Caprock H.S. in 2005 as a Superintendent Scholar. During my time there I was awarded the English Comprehension and Composition Achievement Award, the Economic Achievement Award, and the Tech Award.

Experience

The majority of my work experience is either food service or clerical work but that is simply because I am a college student. For the first two years of my undergraduate work I studied developmental and child psychology; for the other two years I have studied clinical psychology and finished a minor in European history; possibly finishing another in world history by next year. When I graduate I have a few directions, although I do want to attend graduate school, I think I would like to be a school teacher, especially if I could teach either history or psychology. I babysat and tutored my brother from age 13 until I left for college (he's 6 years younger than me). I have excellent peoples skills, I'm great with kids and adolescents and I communicate well. My favorite part about tutoring is explaining the events in history in story form and with "fun facts." My brother took to the subjects that I studied as well, so when he wanted to know about the functions of the brain I enjoyed explaining what the parts are, what they do and how they affect the rest of the brain. I feel like this experience, although not that professional, is the reason I am applying for this position.
