Experience
I'm interested in helping students find ways to appreciate and succeed in classes that don't initially appeal to them. I've studied subjects before that I dreaded at first, but actually really enjoyed once they were presented to me by the right professor. It's not that I think teachers are bad at what they do, but I recognize that having enthusiasm for the things that we learn in school sometimes depends upon finding the right approach for each person. My experience is mainly in English, Philosophy, Psychology, and History. I can offer guidance in critical thinking, literary analysis, and rhetorical skills for essay writing. I'm well versed in world geography. My SAT score was 1920, and although it's been a while since I took it, I'm confident that I could help students with practice materials and mastery of basic concepts.

Hobbies
I'll try to fill this out without being too inane. My friends often say that I "like everybody." I tend to believe that whether or not someone is met with kindness becomes by far the greatest determinant of their behavior and attitude. As long as someone is respectful and good-natured, I can get along with them. As for my particular interests, they're pretty simple. I'm a big fan of science fiction like Star Trek and Stargate. I like to get with friends and watch movies, swim, work out, sometimes do a little ice skating. I try to give good advice and be the person my friends come to when they're having trouble with something.
