Experience
Throughout my teaching experience, I have developed a teaching philosophy that is based on achieving three goals. These goals are: to endorse positive growth, to ignite a desire to learn in my students, and to lay the proper groundwork for learning in the future. As long as I can reflect back on a day's class session and feel confident that, as a teacher, I have met these three requirements, then I know that my job was done right. I have a certification to teach deaf and hard-of-hearing children. My teaching experiences include teaching at a public school as an itinerant teacher, teaching classes at a school for the deaf, overseeing and tutoring undergraduate and graduate students at The University of Arizona, and helping students with their linguistics and social science studies. Most of my career has been spent focusing on educating students that are hard-of-hearing; however, I am able to teach students of various capabilities. I have a bachelor's degree from The University of California and The University of Toulouse Le Mirail in France. My master's degree is from The University of Arizona in deaf education. At The University of Arizona, I also earned a Ph.D. in Special Education. My hobbies include playing instruments, running, and watching football.
