I have a BS and MSN in mathematics from Southeast Missouri State University. Currently I am pursuing a PhD in mathematics at the University of North Texas.

Experience

Currently I am a Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas. However before that I was a full-time faculty member of the Department of Mathematics at Southeast Missouri State University. I am in my sixth year of both teaching and tutoring. I have experience at all levels kindergarten through college and in many different capacities, having been a primary instructor, instructor's assistant, substitute teacher, and tutor. My specialty is lower level college courses, high level high school courses, and courses involving spacial reasoning.

Hobbies

Throughout high school and college I was active with sports (rugby, football, wrestling). I have also participated in theater and enjoy writing in my spare time. Due to my fairly diverse background I can relate to almost anyone and possess a great deal of patience and understanding. I also know that many people don't feel comfortable or confident around mathematics, but my laid back personality and positive attitude can put even the most anxious students at ease.
